Today is National Scrapple Day. If you’re not from the area, you might not be enlightened as to what scrapple is: a mixture of meat scraps and cornmeal that’s formed into a loaf and fried. It’s commonly found in the Northeast region of the U.S. But around here, we have Chocolate Scrapple. It is like a "potluck" chocolate bark. Most of us put in marshmallows, popcorn, pretzels, raisins, peanuts, almonds etc., even sometime, BACON! You just temper your chocolate, mix in your additional ingredients, spread on a baking sheet and break it up when cooled. Easy and delicious! Enjoy!
