Today is National Chocolate Milkshake Day, let’s celebrate. Even though it is an “unofficial” national holiday and we won’t be getting the day off from work, I thought it would be fun to play along. Besides, it is fun to occasionally surprise the kids with random treats when they come home from school. Who wouldn’t like to walk through the door after a long day of reading, writing, and arithmetic to a nice cold chocolate milkshake? I know I would, and I did, and it was delicious!
To get the extra wow factor I was looking for from the kids I rimmed the glass with melted semi-sweet chocolate and colorful sprinkles. I mean really, you should have seen their eyes. For a brief moment in time I was the best mom ever.
